Happiness IndexThings Go Better with Coke

With all the negative reporting coming from the American media, it’s hard to find an upbeat story about Mexico, so when we saw the headline: “Mexicans... Among the Happiest People, said Index” we just had to take a look. What Index; are you asking? Why the Happiness Index, of course.
The global study, which covers 16 countries, identified what happiness meant to different nationalities and revealed that human contact wins hands down. People in all 16 countries agreed real world contact with family and partners is a greater source of joy (77%) than virtual world alternatives. Of the countries studied, The Happiness Index also revealed that the happiest country was Mexico. The questions asked of 12,500 consumer are part of the Coca-Cola Happiness Index, a scientific index designed by Complutense University of Madrid for the Coca-Cola Happiness Institute in Spain. The Happiness Index is a new and more complete method of measuring overall happiness and consumers’ level of satisfaction with their life.
No folks, we don’t make this stuff up. You can read the press release at www.thecoca-colacompany.com.
